Mission Statement

With over 550,000 members in 518 chapters throughout the Americas, the National Audubon Society advances its mission to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity.

Description

The Bent of the River Audubon Center is a wildlife sanctuary and environmental education center. Over 550 acres of forest, fields, and riparian corridor are managed by Audubon staff at this center. Environmental education takes the form of a variety of programs for all ages. During the summer, we run an ecology day camp for children aged 6-12. Preserving and enhancing habitat for birds and other wildlife are priorities.
