*Provide a safe, temporary shelter and promote placement for orphaned pet
*Create safe, healthy neighborhoods for people and animals *Provide an adoption facility
*Operate a low cost spay neuter program and clinic
*Offer assistance to pet rescues
*Provide educational programs in schools
*Offer animal training opprtunities.

Description

Safe Place for Animals was established to raise funds, create and provide a well run, clean animal sheltering and spay/ neuter facility. We are working with city and county officials a well as our local animal control facility to establish the place where animal services could be provided and offered under one very adequate and clean facility, thus providing services that will better serve our county citizens and the animals in need. We will not be limited to just cats and dogs.

I have been volunteering at Safe Place for Animals (SPA) for a little over a month now, and I absolutely love it! I love Diana Townsend and Becky Foy; they are both incredibly wonderful and caring people. On Fridays I get to spend my time with Diana, Granny, Allison & Sharon - all very spectacular ladies. They are such a super team to work with. Everyone on this team is passionate about each and every animal. Diana does so many extra things to make sure each and every animal knows they are loved and ensures that their living quarters are clean and comfortable. I am truly inspired by Diana's passion. I am so impressed by the commitment of the staff to find good, responsible homes for each animal. The overall atmosphere of SPA is so welcoming, both to animals and humans. It is such a caring and fun environment. I look forward to working with them for a very long time, and would highly recommend anyone volunteer here.
