Description

Detroit Central City Community Mental Health, Inc. (DCC) is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) [#38-198 6574] agency that provides ongoing mental health services, substance abuse treatment and prevention, housing, and support services to adults in Wayne County. Because of our location on Woodward, two blocks south of Mack Avenue, DCC is especially well situated to serve people in the Midtown/Downtown areas of Detroit. DCC is considered unique within the community mental health system because of its strong response and expertise in providing long-term housing solutions for homeless individuals in tandem with evidence-based mental health treatments and support services.

DCC is an equal opportunity employer and has 120 full- and part-time staff that includes psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, case managers, housing specialists and other professionals who are dedicated to working with individuals struggling to cope with stressors of illness, poverty, and homelessness. A Board of Directors presently numbering 15 and five Advisory Board Members governs Detroit Central City. Detroit Central City is fully accredited by CARF, the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission, and is licensed by the State of Michigan for substance abuse services.
