Mission Statement

Southern California Indian Center, Inc. (SCIC) goals are to promote social, education,and economic self-sufficiency for American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian people. To reach these goals SCIC's objectives are:

>To promote, foster, and encourage programs for the general welfare, education and social benefit of American Indians;

>To establish and maintain education, cultural, economic and recreational programs for American Indians;

>To eliminate barriers of discrimination of race, religion and gender;

>And, to educate and broaden the knowledge of the American public of Indian issues and culture, regarding its unique positive contributions to American society.

Description

Serving the Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside Counties, SCIC provides valuable programs and much needed support in the areas of Workforce Development, Edcuational support and assistance, supportive services, emergency assistance and referrals, multimedia training, and much more.

SCIC's mission also includes a focus on cultural enrichment through volunteer opportunities and SCIC sponsored events.
