Mission Statement

Progressive Action for Transforming City Habitats (P.A.T.C.H.) is a non-profit organization dedi cated to acquiring and stewarding urban land (using environmentally sustainable methods) for use by the community. We are committed to building inclusive, cooperative relationships among neighboring residents and across communities by providing opportunities for interaction through organic community gardens, educational workshops and classes on sustainable technologies, social events, place-making, and support.

Description

We are a new and growing non-profit, grassroots group of folks who are working to enrich and empower people in the urban environment. We are starting with gardens and urban agriculture, and hoping to move quickly into urban art, health empowerment, and basic life skills such as cooking and sewing. We are not a victim of our environment, and we can make our environment what we need and want it to be by pulling together and digging in. And, we'll have a darn good time doing it!
