Mission Statement

To help provide therapeutic socks, moisturizing socks and fun krazy socks to cancer patients and caregivers. These socks will help cancer patients with their needs, boost their spirits, and help them feel more at home while undergoing treatment. My goal is to provide these socks to at least one Children's Miracle Network Hospital in all states and keep growing to include Hope Lodges and cancer facilities for all age groups.

Description

I founded S.O.C.K.S. ( Students Organizing Cancer patients Krazy Socks ) as I wanted to make a difference for someone, as my Girl Scout Gold Award. Cancer is a silent killer which has affected many of my family members, as well as several of my friends. While researching the needs of cancer patients, I discovered there was a need for moisturizing, aloe infused and just fun, crazy socks. I did a little more research, discussed the viability of such an organization with an American Cancer Society representative (www.cancer.org) and S.O.C.K.S. was born. Little did I know what a life changing experience this organization would be for me!! This organization collects new socks and donates them to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Hope Lodges and cancer centers.
