Friends of Central Arkansas Libraries

FOCAL's volunteers manage programs that generate funds for programs such as book sales; Summer Reading Club; Reading is Fundamental, a program distributing free books to school children; Books for Arkansas Soldiers and Read to Me, a program supplying bibs and books to newborns when their parents register for a library card. FOCAL volunteers also help staff the Library's used book and gift store, River Market Books & Gifts. RMB&G is located in the Cox Creative Center on the Main Library campus. RMB&G offers "gently read" books at up to 70 percent off retail, collectible books and unique gifts. In addition to its year-round stock, River Market Books & Gifts also features seasonal specialty items for the holidays.
