Description
Miami-Dade County Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD), Elderly and Disability Services Division, the 38 th year of operation of the RSVP concluded June 30, 2013. The program moved to the Overtown Transit Village 701 NW 1 Ct. 11 floor, Miami, Florida 33136. RSVP recruits and matches senior volunteers (person age 55+) with challenging and needed community service assignments throughout Miami - Dade County.
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) acts as a clearinghouse to provide opportunities for persons 55 years of age and older to use their talents, skills and experiences to enrich the lives of others in meaningful ways. RSVP offers recognition and insurance coverage to everyone enrolled, transportation , and meals are provided in some cases. Over 1,000 RSVP volunteers serve in 79 agencies and organizations throughout Miami-Dade County.
