Encourage Public Service and Voluntarism. Service to the community is a cornerstone of Pledge 5 Foundation. We are committed to the encouragement of giving back and work to instill the many benefits of giving back.
Low Barrier to Entry Public Service Opportunities. Pledge 5 provides an array of convenient, low cost, manageable public service opportunities.
Connecting UF and the Gainesville Community. The University of Florida and its 50,000+ student population are often seen as transient visitors to Gainesville. Pledge 5 Foundation believes that Gainesville can benefit from these students through their public service contributions and the potential that they could join the Gainesville workforce. We also believe that the Gainesville and the non-University community has much to offer these students with its surrounding natural beauty and innovation and boom.
Non-Monetary Charity Drives. Pledge 5 Foundation organizes goods, service and education based charity drives for many of our local and national charity partners. These non-monetary charity drives raise community awareness about these organizations and provide everyone the opportunity to lend a hand.
Meaningful Yet Manageable. Manageable Yet Meaningful. Sometimes it is difficult to find ways to give that fit into your schedule or that are financially reasonable. Pledge 5 provides everyone with the opportunity to give through their conveniently scheduled service socials and charity drives.
