Mission Statement

To shelter and empower victims of domestic violence and to improve the way New Mexico responds to this violence.

Description

S.A.F.E. House is a shelter for victims of domestic violence. Our shelter can house over 85 adult and child residents. S.A.F.E. House is a confidential haven for individuals and their children who are homeless as a result of intimate partner domestic violence. Throughout their stay at the shelter, residents are assisted by their case manager to identify their needs and options. Case managers assist by advocating and coordinating services. Survivors and their children have access to our services and to staff 24 hours per day. S.A.F.E. House offers a statewide crisis hotline which operates 24/7/365. Survivors also have access to our transitional housing program called Pathways. We offer casemanagement to residents who are in our transitional housing program as well as those at the shelter.
