Mission Statement

GINA for Missing Persons FOUNDation’s mission is to educate the public by utilizing entertainment to create awareness and media attention for missing persons world-wide, and to offer a source of information to help people whose family members become missing.

GINA's goal is to uncover "missing pieces to find the missing." By opening their hearts and doors, those in the music industry and the sponsors who participate are promoting an ongoing effort of raising awareness of the missing while being a bridge to all forms of media.

GINA was created in honor of musicianGina Bos , who disappeared from Lincoln, Nebraska on October 17, 2000 after a performance. Her case remains unsolved.

Description

GINA for Missing Persons FOUNDation presents the International Squeaky Wheel Tour 2014 (SWT). This series is held in October and November of each year. The Squeaky Wheel Tour is an acclaimed yearly concert series that raises awareness for those who go missing every year. This event draws attention to several hundred missing people, many of whom are profiled by artists participating in concerts throughout the United States and in other countries.

The Squeaky Wheel Tour is a grass roots effort to gain attention for hundreds of missing children and adults whose disappearances do not have the scandal, intrigue, or national appeal to garner the attention of the public. The Squeaky Wheel starts here - with me, with you - we have the power to make a difference both individually and collectively. We are the families of the missing, the artists and communities who care about the missing, the not-for-profit organizations dedicated to the missing, and the media who sees that attention is needed to bring someone home.
