Mission Statement

GLASA promotes the physical and mental well-being of youth and adults who have a primary physical disability and/or visual impairment through adaptive recreational, integrative, and competitive sports. Overall we look to promote healthy lifestyles and increase physical, social, and emotional well-being and self-sufficiency for individuals with physical or visual impairments. Our motto: Let No One Sit on the Sidelines!

Description

GLASA provides year-round sports, clinics, camps, and special events for people with a primary or visual impairment. GLASA enhances quality of life by removing barriers, raising expectations, setting goals and achieving success!

GLASA programs include, but are not limited to: Aerobics, Bowling, Tennis, Boccia Ball, Track & Field, Power Soccer, Golf, Swimming, Beep Baseball, Hand-cycling, Wheelchair Basketball, Floor Hockey, Sled Ice Hockey, Kayaking, Goalball for the Visually Impaired, Downhill Skiing, Water Skiing, Yoga

GLASA depends on volunteers, fundraising, private donations, grants and corporate donations in order to operate.
