Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fox Valley

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the premier mentoring organization matching youth with caring volunteers to share a one to one friendship. We are an affiliate of the National Big Brothers Big Sisters, meeting certain standards of practice including safety.

Volunteers have the opportunity to make a huge difference in the life of a child. Volunteers are matched with a child and meet about once a week. They do simple everyday things such as, visiting the library, making cookies, going for walks and much more. Basically mentors get to be themselves, show they care and have fun with their match.

There are three different programs volunteers can choose from to fit a variety of lifestyles. Participants go through our simple yet thorough screening process so we can make an appropriate match. Once a match is made they will always have ongoing support from our match support staff.

Anyone 15 and older that cares about youth can apply to be a mentor. Volunteers come from a variety of lifestyles and backgrounds and varying ages.
