Kisumu Multipurpose Community Based Organization (KMC) is a certified non-governmental community and development association established in 2011. We are a grassroots organization that has taken the lead in providing services to orphans and vulnerable children in Kisumu County, of Kenya. Like many parts of Kenya, kisumu is faced with a growing numbers of orphans and vulnerable children. There are 0ver 5000 registered orphans in Kisumu County with the majority not being cared for by extended families, the community, governmental, or non-governmental organizations. These children are forced to live on the streets. KMC operates a residential care facility for 23 orphaned children in conjunction with providing school fees, uniforms, school supplies, after school tutors and life-skills training classes for 40 orphaned and or vulnerable children in and around the community.
