We have a vision of a San Diego and Imperial County Region where people and organizations are empowered to preserve, protect, and enjoy our beaches, estuaries, urban canyons, watersheds, mountains, and deserts; promote safe and healthy communities; and encourage solutions to environmental problems in and beyond our counties.

Description
A Leader in Conservation & Environmental Protection
The Sierra Club San Diego Chapter is over 11,000 members strong and benefits from a strong National parent organization. We are volunteer-led, and we actively coordinate our work with local and statewide leadership committees and partner organizations. The Sierra Club has two local Groups in San Diego working for healthier communities. The San Diego Chapter works with volunteer leaders, local and state agencies and our elected officials for better environmental stewardship. Nationally, Sierra Club works to stop global warming and improve federal protections for wilderness areas in California and across the country.
We offer many conservation minded activity options for our members and the public. Our groups offer outdoor conservation activities in forms ranging from day hikes to bus trips to cross country skiing where you learn about our natural world. So come explore, enjoy and protect the planet.
