Mission: Advocating for the child’s best interest is our only interest.

Vision: The Florida Guardian ad Litem Program will provide a powerful and effective voice on behalf of Florida’s abused, abandoned and neglected children and be recognized and respected as a partnership of community advocates and professional staff.

Description

The Florida Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program is a partnership of community advocates and professional staff providing a powerful voice on behalf of Florida's abused, abandoned and neglected children.

Approximately 1,030 children are appointed to the GAL Program by judges in the 7th Judicial Circuit (Volusia, Flagler, Putnam and St. Johns counties). In Volusia county alone, nearly 650 children are assigned to the GAL Program.
