Mission Statement

Our mission is to make a positive difference in the quality of lives of Public Housing Residents and our communities. Primarily through quality, sustainable supportive services and housing advocacy in a safe and secure living environment built upon friendship, unity and social intercourse of our members and Public Housing Residents in the County of Kings, Borough of Brooklyn, City and State of New York.

We operate, manage and sponsor programming and services for very low to moderate-income residents to emphasize the importance of resident involvement in creating a positive living environment and in actively participating in the overall mission of Public, Senior and Affordable Housing. We strive to encourage a high sense of loyalty to each other, to stimulate our intellectual and economic empowerment and for the better realization of our purpose and mission.

Description

The Resident Association of Lafayette Gardens is a membership based not for profit in Brooklyn, NY serving the New York City Housing Authority development of Lafayette Gardens.

A community of 4,000 men, woman and child residnets residing in seven buildings centrally located in the Clintn Hills area of Brooklyn.

Our association offers education, social servicea and advoccy services for our residents. We make referrals to a multitude of services and connections to community partners for additional legal, medical and family services.
