Mission Statement

Moving Arts Espaola (MAE) is committed to nurturing and inspiring children and youth through education in the fine arts and culture, providing opportunities for improved health and wellness, performances and exhibitions for dancers, musicians, and visual artists.

Description

MAE provides arts education in dance, music, gymnastics, circus arts, flamenco, visual arts, hip-hop, Mexican folk dance, and agricultural arts to young people in the Espanola Valley. Through arts activity and nutrition education, and by providing healthy snacks to the children, MAE attempts to combat the endemic gang activity, high drop-out rates, substance abuse and obesity.
