Mission Statement

The mission of the TWA Museum is to provide information to the public ephasizing the story, history and importance of the major role TWA played in pioneering commercial aviation.

The Museum's vision is to ensure permanent exhibits that showcase the growing collection of TWA artifacts which bring life to the partnership that developed between TWA and Kansas City over many years, culminating in American Airline's purchase of TWA in 2001. This museum relates the important impact TWA had on local, national and global aviation.

Description

The TWA Museum was established in 1985, exhibiting items at the Overhaul Base (located at the International Airport in Kansas City, MO). After four moves the museum now occupies space in the original corporate headquarters.

The TWA Museum is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation established in 2013. It is a wonderful repository of the TWA memorabilia spanning 77 years. It is a tribute to Kansas City history and the many employees who loyally served TWA and the flying public for so many years.

Come and see what made TWA the airline of Popes, Presidents and the VIP's of Hollywood.
