The mission of Family Service is to strengthen and enrich our diverse community by empowering individuals and families to make positive changes through effective counseling and educational programs.

Description

Family Service was established in 1934 out of a grass roots effort to respond to the community's needs following the devastating 1933 earthquake. Since that time, Family Service has provided counseling and social services throughout the Greater Long Beach area and surrounding communities. Family Service provides services within four core program areas: Counseling Services, Educational Programs, Chemical Dependency Program, and an Intern Training Program.
