Mission Statement

To address the needs and rights of persons in forced or voluntary migration worldwide by advancing fair and humane public policy, facilitating and providing direct professional services, and promoting the full participation of migrants in community life.

Description

The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants is a Washington, DC based non-profit organization dedicated to serving refugees and immigrants worldwide. In operation since 1911, USCRI is the largest and oldest refugee resettlement organization in the United States, providing services, such as health education, financial literacy, and employment location, to over 1,000,000 people per year through a network of 36 partner agencies. On the international front, USCRI began the Campaign to End Refugee Warehousing in 2004 and publishes the annual World Refugee Survey providing a detailed assessment of the refugee crisis around the world. USCRI's National Center for Refugee and Immigrant Children provides services to unaccompanied minor immigrant children living in the United States.
