Mission Statement

At Evercare™ Hospice & Palliative Care, we provide compassionate care for those facing end-of-life issues and personal support to their families. Because patients prefer the comfort of familiar surroundings, we provide care wherever patients reside, whether in a private home, a nursing home, an assisted living facility or other in-patient setting.

Description

Hospice is personal care that focuses on pain control and symptom management, rather than cure-oriented treatments. Typically, a hospice patient has a life expectancy of weeks or a few months. Hospice includes physical, spiritual and emotional care for patients and their families and is tailored to a patient's needs and preferences.

Evercare™ Hospice & Palliative Care is dedicated to helping patients obtain insurance coverage for hospice services. Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance companies cover hospice-related services at 100 percent, typically not requiring a deductible or copayment.

Covered hospice services include visits from hospice team members, as well as medications, medical equipment and supplies related to the terminal diagnosis. We bill insurers directly, eliminating the need for patients to file claims or other paperwork.

Do not walk - RUN from this. You will be given the work the paid staff refuse to do themselves, with little respect or thanks. Other locations of this group seem ok but my time with the N.CA office was not good - use your skills and kind-heartedness where it will be appreciated and truly needed such as Vitas or American Cancer. Most organizations help pay for your background checks & fingerprinting - you have to pay for everything with Evercare including lab work - why should I pay for those costs to do some lazy employee's office work while they play on their computer?? The volunteer work has very little to do with patient care - it is assembling sales packets and sales letters so they can turn more profit without paying for the assistance - how is this helping the sick and needy? I've volunteered for other charities for over 20 yrs - this was the biggest disappointment. Too many awesome groups out there to be bothered with this one IMHO.
