Mission Statement
Our Mission is to help middle school aged students from underserved communities improve their academic performance through positive motivation, collaboration, and holistic learning by utilizing technology as a way to bridge the digital literacy divide.
Description
Our vision is to help students gain insights through a holistic, project-based, learning approach. We want our participants to develop skills in arts, technology, writing, nutrition, sciences, and a variety of other disciplines. We hope to help participants develop well rounded skill sets and to demonstrate how goal-oriented projects can build confidence, team-building, and emulate real world tasks . We strive toward making students better global citizens through mentoring, instruction, directed research, collaborative learning, and by fostering their curiosity for infinite possibilities.
It is also to go beyond simply providing technology access to middle school aged students from underserved communities and instruct them on how to utilize technology to access and learn information on any subject. We aim to not only bridge the digital divide for our participants, but to enable them to walk proudly into the future with the skills to improve academic performance, the tools to gain technical expertise, and the network to discover and foster a positive life course through curiosity, confidence, collaboration.
