Mission Statement

JONAH VILLAGE is a youth leadership organization, (ages 13-21) dedicated to the prevention of domestic violence, in the community of African ancestry.

Description

Through various projects and programs, JV engages youth to develop skills and abilities that play a role in the prevention of intimate partner violence.

Our programs address intergenerational relationships and elder abuse; improved verbal skills through a public speaking program and other ambitious efforts to raise awareness about the issue among youth and the community at-large.

We spend a great deal of time in community outreach and awareness.

Prevention is our goal. We do not engage in rehabilitation or intervention projects; however, we will make referrals as needed.
