Mission Statement

The mission of the organization is to provide quality alternative programs throughout the United States to children, youth and young adults. These programs are based on the concepts of a belief in God, self-esteem and self-improvement for those served, their families and our employees.We will expand current programs to meet the needs of those we serve in a changing society. Growth will take place within limits of human and financial resources and in ways that preserve the integrity of the Eckerd model.

Description

Hi-Five East Coast is an Eckerd Youth Alternatives. Inc. Early Intervention Progam that is directed towards reducing behavioral problems among youth and to promote academic achievemment and positive youth development which builds upon the personal strengths inherent in every child. Services are provided to 4th and 5th grade youth through two components; the delivery of a behavioral curriculum in the classroom by trained Eckerd staff and mentoring services provided by trained and screened volunteers.
