Description

Once we have saved a horse from slaughter, they come into our care at GAA, they can begin the healing of both body and spirit. Many come in horrific condition, needing medical attention and a feeding program tailored to each one. When they are ready, we evaluate them for their new life and provide training accordingly. There is no limit as to how long they stay with us, in time the right person always comes! And the day they step onto the trailer to begin their new life, our work will have been done. That is always a bittersweet day, but then there will be another horse, waiting desperately to be rescued!
