Camp Get-A-Way is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the mission of strengthening and supporting families of children having an emotional, behavioral, or mental illness. The concept for the camp was developed by parents living in the WNY area. The founding vision of Camp Get-A-Way is clear and simple

Description

Since 2002, New York State families of children with mental health, emotional and behavioral disorders have had the opportunity to enjoy a safe, supportive and nurturing environment in which they can practice parenting skills while learning from each other without ridicule. Parents can also connect with and support other parents faced with similar challenges. Kids can enjoy the freedom of being themselves, and being with other kids just like them. At Camp Get-A-Way, it’s all about having fun...learning new skills...and spending quality time as a family. It lets kids be kids!
