Description

Functional Neurological Disorders symptoms are not only misunderstood, but little is known. Functional Neurological Disorder provides an umbrella term for a variety of symptoms of apparent neurological origin, but which current models struggle to explain psychologically or organically. Presentation may be similar to a wide range of other neurological conditions from paralysis to weakness.

We at FND Hope advocate for patients and their right to medical care. We are internet based and have over 1,000 members throughout the world. We are the first and only organisation for patients with a diagnoisis of FND.

Patients are often as equally debilitated as those with Parkinson's disease; yet, there is little treatment available. Women are most often given the label of Functional Neurological Disorder and told it will go away on its own.

We at FND Hope strive to empower patients to better health and advocate patients right to accessible medical care for their medical problems.
