Mission Statement

American Turkish Association of North Carolina (ATA-NC), a non-profit organization founded in 1987, dedicated to promoting awareness of Turkish culture and sharing Turkish heritage across North Carolina, serving the NC community through a variety of educational, cultural, and social activities.

ATA-NC also coordinates the participation of its members and friends in various volunteer activities in NC (Food Bank of NC, Red Cross, etc.)

Description

ATA-NC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. ATA-NC is dedicated to:

  • promote closer understanding and further cultural relations and knowledge of each other among the peoples of Turkey and the state of North Carolina,
  • disseminate information concerning life and work in the state of North Carolina and Turkey,
  • further the interest of Turkish American community in the state of North Carolina,
  • cooperate with institutions, organizations or individuals engaged in similar activities in North Carolina and Turkey.

We have members from all over North Carolina and serve to our community with various activities. Some of them are: Turkish School for our children, Raleigh International Festival, and other activities.
