Jefferson County Divsion of Children, Youth and Families

Description

The children that the Jefferson County Division of Children, Youth and Families serve may be victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, abandonment, emotional mistreatment, or their parents may be unable to properly care for them because of their own disabilities, illness or death, or because they are overwhelmed by the child's special needs. Poverty, homelessness, alcohol and drug abuse are also often factors.
