Description

STARS (Speakers, Tutors, Achievement, Retention and Success) is a new initiative that is being launched by Job Corps to increase student retention, student achievement and Job Corps completion. Job Corps is the nation's largest residential educational and vocational training program for economically disadvantaged youth ages 16-24.

Women in Community Service is administering the STARS initiative. Since 1964, WICS has provided services which address employment, job training, poverty and cultural diversity
