City Life/Vida Urbana is a grassroots community organization committed to fighting for racial, social and economic justice and gender equality by building working class power. We promote individual empowerment, develop community leaders and build collective power to effect systemic change and transform society.

Description

We are not a service providing institution. City Life/Vida Urbana has been at the forefront of the fight against housing displacement in Boston, and more recently nationally, for over 40 years. City Life/Vida Urbana is a radical organization and we will not be afraid to push back against injustice.

By opening our doors, sharing our model, and organizing our local communities, we have inspired other groups around the nation to 'stand up, and fight back.’ We seek not to promote our own selves; rather we seek to promote building grassroots leaders and organizers to join the chorus declaring housing to be a human right.
