Mission Statement

World Unity, Inc. promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion by raising self-awareness through the Sun poem, and empowering individuals through the arts, education and innovative ideas. - Are you greater than the sun/ that shines on everyone: Black, Brown, Yellow, Red and White/ the sun does not discriminate (c) 1985 Sara Ting

Description

The Sun poem inspired the founding of World Unity Inc. in 1993, is the focus of a TED Talk in 2021 Check talk at worldunityinc.org

Laws, policies and technology cannot remove unconscious biases all humans have. The change must come from within. The Sun poem can ignite change. We seek to transform the world by raising self-awareness through the Sun poem, the arts, education and innovative ideas.

We follow Einstein's approach to solving problems. He said, "You cannot solve a problem with the same consciousness that created it. You must stand on a higher ground."

We continue with our initiatives: 1) Build the first landmark in the world promoting equality for all people 2) Singing Equality across America and around the World," planting the seeds of equality through a song. See video of 800 children sing the song and performing verse in sign language at worldunityinc.org 3) Public service campaign promoting equality for everyone 4) World Unity Inc.'s 5 Minute Leadership Dialogue.

Imagine if children in across the globe learned this song and it lived in their hearts the kind of world we could have!

We are looking for volunteers who love being creative, feel strongly about equality. resonate with the Sun Poem, want to help us promote initiatives it inspired to create a world that values all people, especially the children. They are depending on us. Please contact us at (617) 971-0317.
