Mission Statement

The mission of the Baltimore City RACES program is to maintain a skilled, qualified organization of volunteers to supplement the public communications infrastructure in the event of an emergency.

Description

Baltimore City RACES is responsible for providing emergency backup communication to Baltimore City Agencies via amateur radio. Baltimore City RACES may be called upon to assist the Baltimore City Emergency Operations Center (EOC), the Baltimore City Fire Department, the Baltimore Police Department, shelters, other government agencies and hospitals.
