Mission Statement

The Ministry of Presence Institute (MPI) is a non-profit 501(3)c and exists to meet the emotional and spiritual needs of those most often forgotten. We do this through our chaplaincy programs who volunteer in the communities where we live, love, work, and play.

The Institute provides learning opportunities regardless of religious affiliation, gender, race, sexual orientation, or educational level. We serve those of all faiths and beliefs, or those with none. MPI is non-denominational.

We are community centered and strive towards excellence in cultural competence. We recognize the expression of spirit through nature and the expressive arts. MPI considers spiritual and emotional enrichment as the energy that drives body, mind and spirit. MPI serves diverse and under served communities and especially focuses on elders, the LGBT communities, the homeless, and veterans bearing the spiritual injury of war.
