Mission Statement
The Harbor provides advocacy, prevention and support while promoting self-determination and hope for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.
Description
The Harbor, originally founded as the Clatsop County Women's Resource Center in 1976 by a dedicated cadre of volunteers, offers advocacy, emergency shelter, emotional support and other services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. Our services are free and confidential and offered to all survivors regardless of race, gender, sexuality or ability. We operate a 24/7 crisis line and can send out skilled advocates to offer support on the spot if necessary. We will accompany survivors to the hospital or the courtroom at their request. At our drop in Advocacy Center in downtown Astoria, Oregon we offer survivors help in safety planning, self determination and help navigating the legal system. Our confidential shelter is here for those fleeing domestic violence at all hours of the day or night.
