Mission Statement

Friends of the Chico Community Ballet, Inc. (FCCB) is a nonprofit, educational corporation established to support the Chico Community Ballet. The mission of FCCB is to promote dance as an art form, to provide the Norther California region with quality dance performances and to provide an opportunity for young, serious dancers to expand and share their talents. This mission has inspired dance productions that are innovative in nature while reflecting a ballet tradition. FCCB strives to provide our community with access to professional performances, give local talent a professional performance experience, and provide the community with an introduction to the art of dance.

Description

The FCCB board of directors cooridinates the families of the dancers who volunteer many hours to the organization each year. Numerous fundraising activities are held throughout the ear. grant funding and writing is also sought to supplement these efforts. This cultural vision exposes thousands of school-aged children and families to the extraordinary wold of ballet.

We need help now more than ever before! Arts organizations throughout the country are struggling financially because of the current state of arts education cutbacks. Many cultural programs have lost funding. We cannot afford to neglect the arts that go so far in reinforcing the good in our society
