AFS-USA works toward a more just and peaceful world by providing international and intercultural learning experiences to individuals, families, schools, and communities through a global volunteer partnership.

Description

AFS Intercultural Programs is the original high school student exchange organization.

Each year AFS-USA

  • sends more than 1,500 students to over 40 countries,
  • awards more than $1.5 million in financial aid and merit scholarships,
  • welcomes more than 2,800 international high school students and teachers.

More than 8,000 Volunteers in the USA and 30,000 worldwide support our programs and participants. 10,000 exchanges take place internationally each year.

AFS is celebrating 60 years of exchanges in 2007.
