Mission Statement

The Masachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation's Universal Access Program is dedicated to providing outdoor recreation opportunities in Massachusetts State Parks for visitors of all abilities.

Accessibility to our State Parks is achieved through site improvements, specialized adaptive recreation equipment, and accessible recreation programs.

Description

Since 1995, the Universal Access Program has been working to ensure that people with disabilities have equal access to Massachusetts state parks and other properties. The Universal Access Program coordinates with vendors and parks to offer accessible facilities and activities throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, year-round.
