Mission Statement

The mission of the LESCMW/Tu Casa Studio was to serve the needs of neighborhood musicians and the community. The Studio provided a place where musicians could rehearse at below market cost . It also provided local musicians with a meeting place to organize projects together.
By providing technical training and assistance for almost thirty years, the LESCMW/Tu Casa Studio has nurtured the careers of many talented artists, spanning all forms of popular and experimental music, including indie rock, salsa, electronic, fusion, jazz, world music and reggae. The Studio has produced demo CDs for many talented artists who would otherwise have been hard pressed to find resources for this need.



Description


The LESCMW/Tu Casa Studio artist roster spans Grammy winners to school children and beginners. This roster includes legendary Grammy Award winners, The Brian Lynch/ Eddie Palmieri Project, whose album "Simpatico" won the 2007 Grammy for "Best Latin Jazz Album", and The Klezmatics whose album "Wonder Wheel" won the 2007 Grammy for "Best World Music Album".
