Humane Society of Columbiana County

Mission Statement

The Salem Humane Society, Inc. (dba Humane Society of Columbiana County) is a non-profit animal welfare organization that strives to improve the quality of life for homeless or abused animals. We promote responsible animal ownership in Columbiana County by educating the public about proper veterinary care and animal welfare issues. We provide programs that aid in the reduction of pet overpopulation as well as adopt companion and domesticated animals into lifelong homes. We provide a deputized County Humane Officer who assists in the enforcement of animal cruelty laws.
