Mission Statement
Bright Light Volunteers' mission is to make the world a brighter place by providing educational service opportunities that foster the development of global leaders and citizens. We seek to create a more peaceful, just, interconnected world where global challenges and opportunities are met by educated, compassionate, global leaders and citizens.
Description
Bright Light Volunteers is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization, designed to empower program participants and community partners through education and service. Specifically, our programs adhere to global service-learning best practices, which combine community service with both experiential learning in the field and online coursework through our university partner. Our vision is to make the world a brighter place by creating a more peaceful, just, interconnected world where global challenges and opportunities are met by educated, compassionate, global citizens and leaders.

I have been a student volunteer with Bright Light for about a month and it has been by far my favorite volunteer experience. The experiences they provide are exactly what the youth need in order to become well practiced and compassionate adults and it is a privilege to be a part of it.

I have been helping out Bright Light Volunteers for the last few months by making posters and a power point presentation to help spread the word about their mission! What they are doing around the world is very intriguing, talk about a life experience. I would love to go on a mission with them in the future to Costa Rica or Peru. Catherine, the Executive Director, has been very fun to work with. I look forward to helping them more as time goes on! "Make the World a Brighter Place!"

I've volunteered with BLV online (I live in Saudi Arabia) making them a PowerPoint Presentation. Communication was easy and they gave me all the material I needed.
I enjoyed the couple of weeks I spent helping BLV and I would do it again in a heart beat :)
