Mission Statement

The Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization committed to the education of the public in the humane treatment of all animals, the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals and the importance of animal population control through the promotion of spaying or neutering.

Description

PVCHS has been caring for the unwanted, homeless and abandoned animals of Parke and Vermillion Counties in Indiana since 1991. Over the past two years, we have strived to lower our euthanasia rates to only 0.5%. With the help of dedicated volunteers, we hope to decrease animal overpopulation in our counties, increase adoption and rescue rates and educate the public about pet ownership and responsibility associated with owning a pet.
