Mission Statement

Free Speech TV is a 24-hour television network that works with activists and artists to cultivate an informed and active citizenry in order to advance progressive social change. Free Speech TV airs social, political, cultural, and environmental documentaries acquired from independent producers, as well as news and current affairs series like Democracy Now!,Gay USA, and Enviro Close-Up. Launched in 1995, Free Speech TV currently reaches 25 million US homes, airing 24 hours a day on DISH Network channel 9415 and part-time via a network of 170 community access cable stations across the country. Our website ( www.freespeech.org) offers online organizing tools through our online community, and it features one of the Internet's largest archives of progressive audio and video content. Free Speech TV is operated by Public Communicators, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Denver, CO.
