Description

Valley Forward Association is a unique public interest organization that has influenced quality of life decisions in the Valley of the Sun since 1969. Its principal base of support is within the corporate community and its chief focus is on environmental issues. Valley Forward will host its annual EarthFest celebration in April 2000, and is dedicating the entire month to environmental activities. EarthFest is held annually to urge residents to participate in beautifying their communities, learn more about the environment and explore ways to enhance and preserve the Valley of the Sun. Valley Forward's EarthFest is the state's official Earth day celebration, as proclaimed by Gov. Jane Hull. This dynamic program includes a variety of activities that appeal to a wide range of children and adults. Volunteers are needed for the Valleywide Green Up - projects that bring together individual volunteers and corporate teams to perform beautification projects including plantings, trash pickup and trail enhancements.
