Upham's Corner Main Street advocates, plans, and manages the revitalization of Upham's Corner in a manner that creates new permanent jobs and develops an optimal mix of retail businesses to cater for the changing shopping and service needs of residents.
Our work is highlighted by a high performance track record in the four Main Street program areas: (1) Organization, (2) Promotion, (3) Design, and (4) Economic Restructuring. The role of the Organization Committee is to take responsibility for managing the financial and logistical aspects of the organization by raising money, managing staff and volunteers, and managing finances. The role of the promotion committee is to promote downtown as the center of commerce, culture, and community life for residents and visitors alike. The role of the design committee is to shape the physical image of Upham's Corner as a destination by encouraging quality improvements to private properties and public spaces. The role of the economic restructuring committee is to identify new market opportunities for the commercial district, find new uses for historic commercial buildings, and stimulate investment in property.
