Mission Statement

The Duluth Children's Museum sparks childrens curiousity. Through permanent exhibits, a study/storage collection case and traveling exhibits the Museum provides an environment for informal learning through fun and play for all ages.

Description

The Duluth Children's Museum is the 5th oldest children's museum in the nation and has a collection of almost 15,000 objects, with approximatly one-third on exhibit allowing the visitor to connect between the past and the present.

The Duluth Children's Museum is currently housed in the Historic Union Depot in downtown Duluth and shares space with 8 other cultural organizations. A visit to the Children's Museum provides access to a wide array of experiences including the Duluth Art Institute, the Lake Superior Train Museum and the St. Louis County Historical Society.

While the primary age of interest for the Children's Museum is children 3-8 and their caregivers, people of any age can find exciting things to explore and do not only within the Museum but through out the Depot.
