Description

Since the storm of August 28th, 2005 we have had over 10,000 volunteers putting in over 55,000 hours of their time. That is equivalent to 25 full time employees. We have been rescued from a staff Pre-K of 262 employees to now Post-K of 36 employees. We simply could not have made the park look as nice as it does if we did not volunteers. Since most of our 10.8 million dollars of operating funds come from donations and grants, the park must look nice.We had to have all of our revenue generating areas open first which are the ones that look the best and the rest of the park we are still working on.

This park serves as a refuge for the people of the city to get away and spend time with their families in the beautiful setting of the largest urban park in the country. We have to preserve City Park!
