To support and advance Butte Home Health & Hospice in its commitment to provide the most effective, innovative, and personalized community-based health care to the people of the communities it serves.

Description

Butte Home Health & Hospice was founded in 1984 in Chico, California by Mike and Brooke Quilici. We are a
State-Licensed, Medicare-Certified home health agency; Non-Profit and Community Owned.

In 1987, Butte Home Health became the First Free Standing, Nonprofit, Certified Hospice in Northern California and has grown to serve 7 Counties including: Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Shasta, Sutter, Tehama, and Yuba Counties.

Today, our Home Care and Hospice Programs continue to be on the cutting edge of new methods and approaches to the care of patients and their families.

We are members of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), the California State Hospice Association, the National Association for Home Care (NAHC), and the California Association for Health Services at Home.

Our motto, "A Promise of Excellence" is reflected in our staff and services as we strive for excellence in patient care at all levels.

I volunteered at Butte Home Health for almost 2 years, then went to work part-time for them for another nearly 2 years. Unfortunately, I neglected to look at the organization's IRS Form 990 beforehand. This is a publicly available document that non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organizations must complete, and very useful in determining if an organization is worthy of your time and/or money. For businesses based in California, you can find their IRS Form 990 at the Attorney General's Registry of Charitable Trusts web site. Based on what I recently read, I am very sorry now that I donated my time to Butte Home Health and Hospice.
