Mission Statement

The Friends of Baker Hunt is an auxiliary organization of volunteers dedicated to promoting the mission of the Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center, which has been offering a wide range of classes in the arts and humanities since 1922. To make these opportunities available to those who might not otherwise be able to attend, our major commitment is the Friends Scholarship Fund. We also support various purchases and projects intended to enrich and enhance the learning experience at The Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center.

Description

What We Do:

  • Provide Art Scholarships to The Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center
  • Sponsor Programs such as Art Outreach for both Youth and Seniors of Covington
  • Seek out, promote, lead and collaborate on Fund-raising opportunities through membership, events, donations, lectures and other projects
  • Supply tools and materials to the Volunteer Gardeners group who maintain the beautiful heritage gardens
  • Provide funds and volunteers for the preservation of the Baker Hunt Family Museum.
  • Purchase Classroom Supplies such as: classroom tables, monitors and art display media
